On November 9, 1974, Baylor played No. 12 Texas in what seemed like an imminent loss – after all, Baylor had only won 29 games in their last ten years, and lost 16 straight against the Longhorns. The Bears pulled off the unthinkable, overcoming a 24-7 deficit to win 34-24. With the “Miracle on the Brazos” as the standard for the rest of the season, Grant Teaff’s Bears won the conference championship for the first time in 50 years. Brought to you in partnership with College Vault.
