One of the men from the state of Tennessee that volunteered to join the Texans in their revolution against the Mexican Army was the legendary Davy Crockett. The soldier and congressman from Greene County in East Tennessee led the “Tennessee Mounted Volunteers'' in the Battle of the Alamo. In 1983, he was the inspiration for the new University of Tennessee logo, featured here on the most comfortable t-shirt you’ll ever wear.
