Under 37th-year head coach Ray Meyer, the 1978-79 DePaul Blue Demons were a devilishly fun team to watch ascend. The team started the season unranked, but finished the season 22-5 to earn a No. 2 seed in the 1979 NCAA tournament. Longtime Blue Demons fans know the incredible road they took to the Final Four that season, defeating No. 1 seed UCLA to earn their trip to Salt Lake City.
