The Tigers, led by true freshman quarterback Trevor Lawrence, won the ACC and dominated their playoff opponents, Notre Dame and Alabama (the latter of whom they’d see for the third consecutive year in a Playoff game). The Tigers won their third national title – their second title in three years – and the first 15-0 team since Penn in 1897.
