Back in the days UTEP was Texas Western, Miner's men's basketball took the sport by storm in 1965-66. Led by Hall of Fame coach Don Haskins, Texas Western was just three points away from an undefeated season, losing only once, by two points, against Seattle. In the NCAA tournament, the Miners toppled No. 1 Kentucky for the National Championship. The feat was notable on and off the court – Texas Western was the first team with an all-black starting lineup to win a national title, and did so beating the then-segregated Kentucky team.
Products are mocked up on a size S. Graphics may appear smaller on larger sizes.
