From 1971-81, the “Big Four” (aka Duke, Carolina, NC State, and Wake) played an annual basketball tournament in Greensboro. The tournament captured the most intense collective rivalries in all of college sports – we’re sure you know, but none of these teams like each other. Of these men’s hoops powerhouses, Wake Forest won four times, which is the most any of the Big Four won in the game’s short-but-intense 11 years. Brought to you in partnership with College Vault.
