This retro, midcentury Drexel “D” and logo takes us back to the days when Drexel was known as the Drexel Institute of Technology. The school itself was formally founded in 1891 (though it recently acquired the Academy of Natural Sciences, which opened in 1812), and became the Drexel Institute of Technology in 1936. Soon after the school became Drexel University in 1970, the men’s basketball team leveled up to NCAA Division I in 1973. Brought to you in partnership with College Vault.
