Our UMass Hockey Rinkside Hoodie is inspired by the Minutemen’s “triangle” jerseys of the 1990s. The jerseys are best associated with the rebirth of UMass ice hockey, after the opening of the Mullins Center in 1993, which allowed UMass to revive its men’s ice hockey program.

Love the design; wish it fit better

Without question, this is a fantastic design idea, and in the photos it looks stunning. The stitching and embroidery are perfect. That said, the cut leaves a lot to be desired. When I saw "a generous, jersey-style fit," I thought I'd finally found the perfect roomy, comfortable sweatshirt repping my alma mater's weird, fun hockey history. But look closer even at the photos - this is not a cut that allows for any room in the middle. On the models who no doubt spend a lot more time in the gym than I do, it looks loose and roomy, but on me (in a size up from where I usually go), it's uncomfortably snug- if I'd gone with my usual size, I'd probably have to return it. If I went up another size, the sleeves would undoubtedly be well past my fingertips (they're a little long to begin with, but that makes sense for a jersey-style cut. Love Homefield, and so grateful that they give UMass so much love. But please think about making these a little more roomy instead of such a straight cut.
