Often considered the most talented team in Illinois history, the 1988-89 men’s basketball team—known as the Flyin’ Illini—are still revered and beloved over three decades later. Known for their up-tempo style and high-scoring offense, the Flyin’ Illini captured the hearts of Illinois fans on their way to the Final Four, their first appearance in 37 years. We modeled this retro shooting shirt after their 1989 warmups, and incorporated a vintage 1989 Final Four logo on the sleeve. Brought to you in partnership with College Vault.
