The entire South Dakota State community backs the Jacks, led by the Jackrabbits’ enthusiastic mascot, Jack. While the jackrabbit has been the school’s mascot for over a century, its costumed mascot didn’t get a name until 2010, when the campus community voted in the name Jack.
