In the 1980s and ‘90s, the UConn mascot was famous for his leap through the air during basketball game timeouts. Jonathan would take off in a sprint on one end of the court, then jump, fly, and smoothly slide into the camera, creating lifelong memories for fans both at Gampel Pavilion and on their TVs at home. Due to the potential for mascot injury, the move was eventually banned by the powers that be. The legendary Husky Slide only survived for a decade, but this original illustration will celebrate it forever

My only remaining question is what kind of mojo does this shirt carry? Will it elicit the days of yore? Khalid El-Amin shocking the world, Donyell’s 360 dunk, Tate George at the buzzer, Kemba’s step back, Napier’s dagger against Florida or Jalen Adams from 3/4 court? We’ll find out the true strength of this tshirt come 6:50 tonight when UConn opens up in the tourney.
