High atop Notre Dame’s Main Administration Building – and on this recreation of a vintage logo – you’ll see a 19-foot, 4,000-lb tall statue of Mary atop a dome encased in gold. Today’s Golden Dome is not the original, which was destroyed in a fire in 1879. Upon rebuild, the dome wasn’t going to be gilded, but university founder Edward Sorin demanded it meet his original (golden) vision. His persistence paid off – the Golden Dome is an instantly recognizable landmark at the university and now listed with the National Register of Historic Places.

My dad loved this

My dad loved this. It looks professional enough he can wear it to work, but it’s not overtly fancy so you look out of place wearing it out on the town. It’s also really really soft. Always good to find a gift your dad likes. Thankful for this!

Disappointing Quality

I was so excited for new Homefield gear - some of my favorite clothes have come from here. I Have to say, this quarter zip was really a letdown. The screen printed dome and logo were not crisp and seemed like an afterthought. Although the fabric was soft like usual, the seams were much more pronounced and scratchy too. I opted to return this item pretty quickly, and happily continue to wear other items, but this one needs a quality check, especially at this price point.
