The Little 500 was first founded in 1951, when IU Foundation executive director Howdy Wilcox Jr. devised a charity bike race that would mimic the Indianapolis 500. Of course, the Indy 500 is the quintessential racing weekend in Indiana (and the world), but Wilcox had personal inspiration when creating the Little Five – his father won the 500 in 1919.

Products are mocked up on a size S. Graphics may appear smaller on larger sizes. (Model in our side-by-side graphic is 6'3" and wears a size M.)

Our heavyweight tees have a wide chest and body, to offer a vintage fit. If you prefer an athletic fit, consider sizing down or buying this design on one of our classic, standard tees.

Our vintage heavyweight tees are garment-dyed, 100% pre-shrunk cotton.

Please wash BEFORE wearing! Our vintage heavyweight tees are garment dyed. A wash before wear helps remove any excess dye.

After that, wash separately, with cold water and a mild detergent. Tumble dry low. Do not bleach!

Once your order is printed, it will promptly be dispatched. In certain cases, orders may be sent in separate shipments to expedite delivery.

We offer free exchanges!

Old-school comfort for the long haul.

Our vintage heavyweight tees are 100% cotton, with a wide fit and dropped shoulder, for a durable tee that gets cozier with each wash. Think your favorite old shirt, but better.
