A Ball State tradition since 1980, the Bed Races are a unique homecoming event, taking place the Friday before the homecoming football game. Teams of student clubs and campus community members face off in 100-yard dash heats, pushing a bed on wheels with one of their teammates aboard. In honor of one of our favorite Homecoming traditions ever, we drew up an original Charlie Cardinal illustration showing his need for bed-racing speed.
