The Boise State Broncos wore these rich blue helmets in the 1976 and 1977 seasons, the latter of which was a conference championship-winning year. In Jim Criner’s second year as head coach and the Broncos’ final year in Division II, the Broncos went undefeated in the Big Sky to win the conference outright. The 1977 conference title would be their fourth in five years, showing just how dominant Boise State was throughout the ‘70s.
