Billy Bluejay, Creighton’s mascot, wears his signature scowl as a feature of his design, to make the little bird appear more intimidating. Alumnus and Billy Bluejay designer Joseph P. Murphy wrote that his inspiration for Billy was for him to appear “like he swallowed something that gave him a bellyache.” Here, we’ve paired scowling Billy Bluejay with a timeless Creighton script for a full retro Bluejays classic.
