In 1984, Rick Hendrick started All-Star Racing with Harry Hyde, joining the Winston Cup that season with their first driver, Geoff Bodine. That season, the former Rookie of the Year won All-Star Racing’s first-ever race at Martinsville, setting the team on track (literally) toward its place today among racing’s elite.
