While LU the Wolf did not become Loyola’s mascot until 1990, wolves have remained an important part of the University’s tradition. Their seal features two wolves over a kettle, in reference to St. Ignatius of Loyola, who, according to legend, was so generous that he would feed wild animals. Wolves are featured on this vintage-inspired design, along with the classic LU logo mark. Brought to you in partnership with College Vault.
