After the discontinuation of previous mascots in the late 1970’s, Syracuse debuted a peculiar new mascot – an orange in a baseball cap. Eventually, the cheerleaders named him “Otto,” after he was simply known as “The Orange” from 1980 to 1990. The university attempted to rebrand to a more traditional mascot, but Otto was so popular, he stuck around. Brought to you in partnership with College Vault.

Memorable moments

This is a good quality shirt and the screen print is also well done. My hubby had this shirt when we first met in the mid-90's, and eventually it had to go. Getting him the same print was a great surprise!

Good and Comfortable shirt

I made a bet to myself that if any school during the College Football season beat my team Purdue, I would buy a shirt of the opposing team, and Syracuse ended up being one of those teams. This is my favorite shirt out of the Syracuse collection, and just like any other shirt I've bought through Homefield, it's very comfortable and the t-shirts no matter which school is across my chest, are always comfortable to wear.

Great Shirt

Love Homefield shirts. Fabric is great. Got this for wife who is a Syracuse grad. Added benefit is that first time she wore it, she got mad at me and stood in the same pose as Otto the Orange as she explained to me what I did. I laughed so hard I hit my head on a table. Great shirt.
