The star of UNC’s 1922 football team was fullback Jack Merrit, whose tough performance on the field earned him the nickname of “the Battering Ram." Merrit, in turn, inspired UNC cheerleader Vic Huggins to organize a new mascot for the school: a live ram. The university agreed to pay $25 for a ram from Texas, and “Rameses” made his sideline debut at the UNC-VMI game on Nov. 8, 1924. We tipped our caps (well, our sailor hats) to this vintage rendition of Rameses for this retro bomber jacket. Brought to you in partnership with College Vault.

I was worried that I wasn't cool enough to wear this when I bought this UNC bomber jacket. I was probably right, but man, I feel cool when I'm wearing it. Also, Drake Maye has one!
