You can catch men’s and women’s hoops games at UNT Coliseum, aka the Super Pit, a nickname that carried over from their previous arena, the Men's Gym. The Men's Gym was known as the Snake Pit, apparently due to its proclivity for attracting snakes into the gymnasium when the building would flood. From what we can tell, the Super Pit doesn’t flood or get serpentine visitors like the Snake Pit would, but the fearsome nickname stuck around.
