“Jump Around,” the 1992 hip-hop hit from House of Pain, was played for the first time during a 1998 homecoming football game against Purdue at Camp Randall Stadium. The song became a crowd favorite, and it’s now played before the start of the fourth quarter at every home game. There’s such a vibration coming from the 15,000 person student section during the song that it was actually put on a one game hiatus in 2003 when the stadium was under construction. An engineer confirmed it was safe to resume the party, and Badger fans have been jumping around ever since.
